Easter 2020

Since we are all still obeying the “stay home” requests, Easter was much more chill this year.

First, I did not do eggs. Our church’s amazing Children’s Ministry master passed out filled eggs for all the kids. So I went the incredibly lazy parent route and just used those. Normally, we would have filled a bunch of our own, boiled & painted real eggs. But there is an egg shortage (thanks to COVID-19).

Easters of the Past

Easter Sunday had some gnarly weather. Our Easter Bunny decided to drop off the baskets on Saturday morning. And the egg hunt was planned for later in the day.

Riley helped a little with the egg hunt… but really, he just wanted his candy. Remy was only interested in the few he found right away. That satisfied him. I feel like I phoned this Easter in. It was 100% NOT my most prepared and exciting.

For dinner on Saturday night, I cooked up a turkey breast and some yummy fixin’s. On Sunday morning, we will gather in the family room and worship our Lord (as has become our new Sunday normal). The rest of the day will be spent chilling together. Again. Oh, and I plan to make some yummy, sweet snacks.

What does your Easter look like? What’s your favorite Easter tradition?
