Friday Night Lights

This year Reagan joined her cousin on the DCA Marching Band. In my opinion, there is no better way to kick off each weekend than to do it under the Friday night lights!

I’m so proud of Reagan. As a 6th grader, she joined band. At our school, students can join the marching band when they reach 7th grade. She worked hard, practicing her trumpet all the time.

Last year, when she was in 6th grade, she was invited to play with the WMB at 2 games. The weather was positively wretched for both. But she was a trooper. It was cold and pouring at the first game. I remember Reagan And Stu came home soaked to the bone. I intended to stay for the next one, but it was 35 at her daytime soccer game that day. And Remy was freezing; he needed to go home.

The 2020 Season

Our football team was incredible this year. The DCA Wildcats were one game away from the state championship game. That’s quite the accomplishment in any year, but in the year of the ‘rona? It feels more impressive.

Reagan killed it. I know I’m her Mom, and thereby very biased; however, her marching was spot on. Each week I was in awe of her.

Your biggest fans

I’ll be forever grateful that Reagan was able to march with her cousin. Hayden is a senior, and this was his last year in the band. I loved every freezing moment in the stands. Remy only made it to one game this year. And even then, he only lasted through the first quarter. He wanted to play football with the boys, not sit in the stands. Poor little guy.
